The hike to Rifugio Tuckett allows you to enter the heart of the Brenta Dolomites, in an extraordinary natural landscape. Rifugio Tuckett is situated in the center of 4 massive rock mountain; Castello di Vallesinella (from the left), Castelletto Superiore, Cima Sella and Punta Massar. The hut is easily accessible and it is the starting point of many Brenta climbing route including via ferrata trail. We have not yet discovered the thrill of via ferrata climb at that time, otherwise we will have stayed overnight to explore the surrounding areas.

Rifugio Brentei to Valle dei Frodolin
Sleeping in the mountain hut is an experience by itself. Even after 5 years I could still remember the unique experience of spending the night there; the quietness and stillness of the nature. After a good night rest, we woke up early for breakfast, packed our stuff and off we go for our hike to Rifugio Tuckett.
Crossing Frodolin pass
At Valle dei Frodolin, we took the path (328) on the right to Rifugio Tuckett.
Brenta Dolomite Rocky Trail
We are on the final section before reaching our destination. This path is stunningly rocky.
There are rocks everywhere and it is hard for us to even follow the trail
The rocks formation, the mist and the quietness of this area make us feel like we are in an alien world
Brother and sister in an absolutely stunning location.
Cheeky Kids
Kids are behaving like kids. Annoying and cute at the same time. Here they are trying or pretending to throw rocks. Have warned them many times not to try rocks as there may be hikers below. Still they will find ways to irritate us.
Final Approach to Rifugio Tuckett
This place looks more beautiful than a photo can show. There is very little people around that day. Not sure why since we came at the height of summer holiday. Maybe it is the bad weather forecast, but we are not complaining. It great to have all the beauties to ourselves.
Family Photo Taking Time
This is the best photo taking hotspot. You have everything you could ask for as a background.
Flowers of Dolomite
There is millions of wild flowers in Dolomite. Due to the rain, we did not take any pictures of flowers until we reach Rifugio Tuckett.
Rifugio Tuckett
We have finally arrived. As usual, there is a restaurant inside and it would be a waste if we did not have a drink or two to enjoy the hut and its surrounding.
Our hiking did not end here though. We still have 1.5 hours of hiking to Groste cable car which will bring us back to our car park. We did not take any photos on this section of the hike as the rain came back and I think we are pretty tired too. All in all a great experience we will never forget.
